The QSub 15 and QSub 18, as you might imagine from their names, boast fifteen- and eighteen-inch drivers, respectively — two drivers per QSub, that is — with a staggering total cabinet weight of 350 and 570 pounds apiece. And all of that heft is housed within chassis measuring 22”H x 27”D x 22”W for the QSub 15 and 25.4”H x 37 D x 25.4”W and QSub 18 — seriously, not much bigger than you would expect for dual-driver subs. So, wherefore the heft? Mostly, it’s the fact that those drivers are mounted in two-inch thick aluminum baffles. That, combined with the fact that both drivers in each sub fire adversely in phase, leads to a sub with minimal resonance, lower internal pressure, and virtually no enclosure warping.
